Following the latest aluminium industry updates, it has come to our attention that two esteemed Chinese corporations, namely China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) and Global Advanced Manufacturing Institute (GAMI), have pledged to participate in the renovation and reconstruction of (Talco) Tajik Aluminium Company.
This company has been entrusted with the responsibility of operating Tajikistan's largest aluminium plant, which is situated in Tursunzoda City. It is with great honour that President Emomali Rahmon has made this announcement.

Notably, GAMI and CMEC have expressed their interest in utilizing cutting-edge automated process control system technologies to enhance the overall quality of their participation. It is anticipated that through this modernization initiative, Talco will be able to decrease electricity usage and exponentially increase the production of alumina, aluminium fluoride, cryolite, and anode.
It can be stated that this renovation project will be executed in three stages, with the first stage estimated to be completed within 14 months, producing 80,000 tonnes of products per year. The second stage, slated to take place between 2025 and 2026, will focus on updating the remaining part of the sixth line to achieve an annual aluminium production of 70,000 tonnes.
In the third and final stage, the sixth line of electrolysis production will be completely renovated, and new aluminium production technologies will be installed over a period of 14 months. The anticipated production capacity during this stage will be 150,000 tonnes per year, leading to a total production capacity of 300,000 tonnes per year after successfully incorporating these cutting-edge technologies.
