
Social inventories of primary aluminium in China have continued to fall this week by 23,000 tonnes across eight major consumption areas, including the SHFE warrants, found the Shanghai Metals Market. Data shows the inventories have thus come in at 809,000 tonnes as of Thursday, July 22, compared to 832,000 tonnes last week on July 15.
Last week, China’s primary aluminium inventories declined 26,000 tonnes from the previous week.

In Wuxi, primary aluminium inventories have decreased by 13,000 tonnes to come in at 280,000 tonnes, while the inventories in Nanhai have plunged by 12,000 tonnes to stand at 212,000 tonnes, learned SMM. In Shanghai and Hangzhou, primary aluminium inventories have inched down by 3,000 tonnes and 1,000 tonnes, respectively, to come in at 83,000 tonnes and 89,000 tonnes.
Meanwhile, in Gongyi, primary aluminium inventories have grown by 4,000 tonnes to stand at 66,000 tonnes. In Tianjin and Chongqing, stocks have inched up by 1,000 tonnes to 64,000 tonnes and 2,000 tonnes, respectively.
