China’s average alumina price sheds RMB1/t; SMM A00 aluminium ingot price logs RMB70/t increase

The average alumina spot price has dropped RMB 1 per tonne, stopping at RMB 2,912 per tonne, while the alumina price in Shanxi has lost RMB 5 per tonne to clock at RMB 2,925 per tonne. The alumina price in Guangxi has gained RMB 10 per tonne, closing at RMB 2,915 per tonne, and the alumina price in Shandong has strolled RMB 5 per tonne upward to finally officiate at RMB 2,880 per tonne.

The price of CIF Index of Import Bauxite has hiked by RMB 0.93 per tonne to close at RMB 485.24 per tonne.

On August 28, the Shanghai Metals Market recorded escalating prices all over China, with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price closing at RMB 18,900 per tonne, surging by RMB 70 per tonne. The average aluminium ingot prices have circulated between RMB 18,880 per tonne and RMB 18,920 per tonne.

China’s eight central provinces have marked heightening prices, with the A00 aluminium price increasing the most in Tianjin by RMB 130 per tonne, to officially halt at RMB 18,900 per tonne. In places like Gongyi, Hangzhou and Linyi, the aluminium prices have all grown by RMB 70 per tonne, with the first one marking RMB 18,790 per tonne as the official price and the last two settling at RMB 18,900 per tonne. The other four provinces all witnessed an influx of RMB 60 per tonne. In Foshan, the aluminium price stood at RMB 18,730 per tonne; in Wuxi, it parked at RMB 18,910 per tonne; in Chongqing, it marked RMB 18,870 per tonne, and the aluminium price in Shenyang officially closed at RMB 18,820 per tonne.

The high-purity aluminium price (99.99%) and the high-purity aluminium price (99.996%) have both jumped up the graph by RMB 100 per tonne to peg at RMB 26,500 per tonne and RMB 27,500 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has soared by RMB 100 per tonne to stop at RMB 19,550 per tonne, and the price of aluminium alloy (A360) has accumulated RMB 50 per tonne settling at RMB 19,800 per tonne.

China’s aluminium powder price has earned RMB 0.10 per kg, resting at RMB 20.80 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 20.70 per kg and RMB 20.90 per kg.
