China’s alumina spot price falls successively by RMB7/t; A00 aluminium ingot price on boost recording RMB20840/t

The average alumina spot price has dropped for the fourth day in a row by RMB 7 per tonne to come in at RMB 3,000 per tonne as of Monday, May 23, found the Shanghai Metals Market.

The alumina price in Lianyungang and Bayuquan has decreased by RMB 50 per tonne to record at RMB 3,050 per tonne and RMB 3,125 per tonne, respectively. The price in Shanxi is at RMB 2,925 per tonne, seeing a decline of RMB 20 per tonne.

The Australian alumina FOB price has come in at US$360 per tonne with a US$2 per tonne decline.

A00 aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 70 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,840 per tonne on Monday, May 23, rising successively for the fourth day, as recorded by the Shanghai Metals Market (SMM). The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 20,820 per tonne and RMB 20,860 per tonne, with spot contracts to be traded at a discount price of RMB 30 per tonne and a premium price of RMB 10 per tonne.

A00 aluminium ingot price has risen the highest in Chong Qing by RMB 90 per tonne, stopping at RMB 20,830 for the day. Wuxi, Hang Zhou, and Tianjin have recorded RMB 70 per tonne hike in ingot price settling at RMB 20,840 per tonne and RMB 20,890 per tonne, and RMB 20,760 per tonne, respectively. Primary aluminium ingot price in Foshan has escalated by RMB 60 per tonne to come in at RMB 20,820 per tonne, while the price in Shen Yang and Linyi has increased by RMB 80 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,760 per tonne and RMB 20,900 per tonne. The aluminium ingot price in Gongyi has come in at RMB 20,820 per tonne, following the addition of RMB 40 per tonne, learned SMM.

According to the data shown by SMM, the price of low carbon aluminium has heightened by RMB 60 per tonne to stop at RMB 21,423 per tonne on May 23. High purity aluminium (99.99%) price has augmented by RMB 100 per tonne to rest at RMB 28,900 per tonne, while high purity aluminium (99.996%) price has risen by RMB 100 per tonne to halt at RMB 29,900 per tonne.

Aluminium alloy (A356) price has elevated by RMB 50 per tonne to inaugurate the week at RMB 22,000 per tonne as of May 23. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 21,900 per tonne and RMB 22,100 per tonne, noted SMM. However, the prices of aluminium alloy (A380) and aluminium alloys (ADC12) have remained unaltered.

Aluminium powder price has slightly trekked upwards by RMB 0.10 per kg to result in RMB 22.70 per kg on Monday. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 22.60 per kg to RMB 22.80 per kg, as disclosed by SMM.
