According to the Shanghai Metals Market, A00 aluminium ingot price has continued to surge by RMB 300 per tonne on Monday, February 21, to stand at RMB 16,730 per tonne, the highest since the beginning of 2021. The average price are expected to range between RMB 16,710 per tonne and RMB 16,750 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 0-40 per tonne, up by RMB 20 per tonne from the previous day.
In Linyi, A00 aluminium ingot price has increased the highest by RMB 340 per tonne to come in at RMB 16,690 per tonne, followed by the hike of RMB 335 per tonne and RMB 330 per tonne in Hangzhou and Shenyang to stand at RMB 16,775 per tonne and RMB 16,715 per tonne, respectively. In Foshan and Wuxi, primary aluminium ingot price has grown by RMB 320 per tonne to RMB 16,730 per tonne and RMB 16,760 per tonne, while the price in Chongqing and Tianjin is hovering around RMB 16,710 per tonne by also gaining RMB 320 per tonne on February 22. In Gongyi, primary aluminium ingot price is up by RMB 310 per tonne to RMB 16,620 per tonne.
Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A356) price have also expanded by RMB 300 per tonne to clock at RMB 17,750 per tonne and RMB 17,450 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 17,650-17,850 per tonne and RMB 17,400-17,500 per tonne, respectively.
Aluminium alloy (A380) price, on the other hand, has gained RMB 100 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,350 per tonne, with average prices to range between RMB 18,250 per tonne and RMB 18,450 per tonne.
Among the primary aluminium input costs, aluminium powder price has inched up by RMB 0.30 per kg to come in at RMB 20.25 per kg.
