China’s A00 aluminium ingot price slumps by RMB120/t to RMB18440/t; Average alumina price in China loses RMB3/t

A00 aluminium ingot price in China has plunged by RMB 120 per tonne on August 31, Tuesday. According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the price has accurately settled at RMB 18,440 per tonne, with average prices estimated to range between RMB 18,420 per tonne and RMB 18,460 per tonne and spot contracts to be traded at a discount price of RMB 60 per tonne and RMB 20 per tonne.

The Chinese provinces have shown falling prices today, with Shenyang witnessing the highest decline of RMB 140 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,440 per tonne. The aluminium ingot prices in Wuxi and Hangzhou have recorded an RMB 120 per tonne drop to rest at RMB 18,420 per tonne and RMB 18,470 per tonne, respectively. The primary aluminium ingot prices in Gongyi and Foshan have decreased by RMB 110 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,360 per tonne and RMB 18,310 per tonne. The prices of aluminium ingots in Chongqing, Tianjin and Linyi have nosedived by RMB 100 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,440 per tonne, RMB 18,480 per tonne and RMB 18,490 per tonne.

Today in China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has decreased by RMB 115 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,913 per tonne.

According to data shown by SMM, the high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and the high purity aluminium (99.996%) prices have stooped by RMB 100 per tonne to close at RMB 26,600 per tonne and RMB 27,600 per tonne, respectively.

Among input costs, the average price of alumina shed RMB 3 per tonne to close at RMB 2,949 per tonne. The price of alumina in Shanxi lost RMB 10 per tonne, resting at RMB 2,895 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy (A356) price has dipped by RMB 150 per tonne arriving at RMB 19,800 per tonne. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 19,700 per tonne and RMB 19,900 per tonne, says SMM.

The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have declined by RMB 50 per tonne coming in at RMB 19,150 per tonne and RMB 20,150 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) hovered between RMB 19,050 per tonne and RMB 19,250 per tonne. The cost of aluminium alloy (A380) hit the RMB 20,050 per tonne to RMB 20,250 per tonne range.

The aluminium powder price in China has dropped RMB 0.10 per kg to settle at RMB 20.40 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 20.30 per kg and 20.50 per kg.
