
On Thursday, May 6, A00 aluminium ingot price in China has crossed RMB 19,000 per tonne after resuming the market from the Labour Day Holiday. According to Shanghai Metals Market data, the primary aluminium ingot price has gained over RMB 300 per tonne to come in at RMB 19,150 per tonne, marking the third consecutive growth since April 29. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 19,130 per tonne and RMB 19,170 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 70-30 per tonne.

In Foshan, A00 aluminium ingot price has jumped by RMB 330 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,170 per tonne on May 6, followed by the surge of RMB 325 per tonne in Shenyang to RMB 19,105 per tonne, according to SMM. Gongyi, Chongqing, and Tianjin have seen a hike of RMB 320 per tonne to RMB 19,020 per tonne, RMB 19,085 per tonne, and RMB 19,100 per tonne, respectively. In Hangzhou and Wuxi, A00 aluminium ingot price has climbed by RMB 315 per tonne and RMB 305 per tonne to come in at 19,155 per tonne and RMB 19,140 per tonne, respectively, while the price in Linyi has gained RMB 290 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,120 per tonne.
Among primary aluminium input costs, the average alumina spot price has inched up by RMB 2 per tonne to RMB 2,351 per tonne, learned SMM. In Shanxi, the price has increased by RMB 10 per tonne to RMB 2,355 per tonne but decreased in Shandong by RMB 45 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,360 per tonne, as of May 6.

Australian alumina FOB price has, however, remained restrained at US$ 275 per tonne.
Prebaked anode price has witnessed a surge of RMB 205 per tonne to RMB 4,397.50 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 3,995 per tonne and RMB 4,800 per tonne.
Prebaked anode price in Central, on the other hand, has grown by RMB 110 per tonne to RMB 4,220 per tonne. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 3,995 per tonne and RMB 4,800 per tonne.
Backed on the rise in A00 aluminium ingot price, aluminium alloy (A356) price has neither shied away from recording a surge of RMB 300 per tonne to RMB 19,850 per tonne. Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have increased by RMB 200 per tonne to close at RMB 18,650 per tonne and RMB 19,650 per tonne, respectively, on May 6.
