China’s A00 aluminium ingot price augments by RMB130/t; Australian alumina FOB price shoots up by US$7/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has been boosted by RMB 130 per tonne, halting at RMB 18,640 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on January 18. The aluminium price has risen for two consecutive days, and the mid-week scenario seems to be pointing at a subtle price increase throughout the entire week. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,620 per tonne and RMB 18,660 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at discount prices of RMB 110 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne.
The provinces in China all have witnessed escalating prices today, with aluminium price amplifying the most in Wuxi by RMB 130 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 18,615 per tonne. Then we come across a uniform hike of RMB 120 per tonne in the following areas; Gongyi, Foshan, Chongqing, Shenyang and Tianjin. In Gongyi, the aluminium price has clocked at RMB 18,470 per tonne. In Foshan, it has stopped at RMB 18,690 per tonne, in Chongqing at RMB 18,660 per tonne, and lastly, in Shenyang and Tianjin, the aluminium price has closed at RMB 18,590 per tonne. The price of aluminium in Hangzhou has seen an upward stroke of RMB 115 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,635 per tonne. In the end, we find Linyi having shot up the graph by RMB 80 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,590 per tonne.
The low carbon aluminium price again finds its upward course, with it banking at RMB 19,270 per tonne, after RMB 120 per tonne gain.
The prices of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have both seen an elevation of RMB 100 per tonne, closing at RMB 26,500 per tonne and RMB 27,500 per tonne, respectively.
The Australian alumina FOB price has augmented by US$7 per tonne, finally settling down at US$355 per tonne on January 18.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has jumped up by RMB 150 per tonne, stopping at RMB 19,800 per tonne, while prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have levitated by RMB 100 per tonne, officially resting at RMB 19,600 per tonne and RMB 20,600 per tonne.
The price of aluminium powder has spiked by RMB 0.10 per kg to park at RMB 20.20 per tonne, with average prices hovering between RMB 20.10 per tonne and RMB 20.30 per tonne.
