The Hangzhou, China headquartered organization, Eplus3D, has certified the Aheadd®CP1 aluminium alloy from the Paris, France-based Constellium for use on the company’s Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) Additive Manufacturing machines.
{alcircleadd}The innovative global manufacturer of aluminium products, Constellium, designed the Aheadd CP1 solution, particularly for the PBF-LB process. It offers excellent strength and thermal conductivity, suitable for automotive, semiconductor, aerospace and spare parts applications.
Using Aheadd's silicon-free chemistry, additively manufactured components can be anodised to excellent quality, making it a perfect choice for semiconductor equipment manufacturing.
Eplus3D states that its large-scale and multi-laser metal AM machines have attained exquisite build quality with an average density of 99.93% and a vigorous process window. The high elasticity of Aheadd CP1 in the as-built state will permit Eplus3D customers to produce large-scale components with minimal geometrical distortion. Furthermore, Eplus3D offers consulting, application development, consulting services, and customer training in addition to metal AM machines.
According to Constellium and Eplus3D, the AM development of Aheadd CP1 alloy will enable users of aluminium components to design new applications, reduce production costs, and increase productivity.
