China's alumina imports jump to eight-month high

China’s alumina imports jumped in October to levels not seen since February as higher domestic prices nearly erased the gap with London Metal Exchange prices.
Alumina shipments totalled 261,350 tonnes in October, compared with 80,421 tonnes in September, according to customs data today.
