China-based Mingdao Aluminum signs strategic cooperation agreement with Delphi

On June 18, 2024, Mingdao New Material and Delphi entered a strategic cooperation agreement to share resources and jointly develop the aluminium market for building applications, including honeycomb panels, aluminium veneers, and insulation panels.

At the meeting, Meng Fanlin, President of Mingdao Aluminum, emphasised that Mingdao Aluminum is a long-established aluminium processing enterprise with decades of market experience. The company has developed an integrated operation model that spans upstream, midstream, and downstream processes.  In the architectural aluminium sector, they have a strong customer base and market share in niche markets for drawing aluminium, mirror aluminium, and pre-coated aluminium coils.

The cooperation with Delphi

Meng Fanlin highlighted that the cooperation with Delphi will leverage both parties' market advantages, resources, and innovative capabilities. This partnership aims to create superior aluminium products and services, fostering a mutually beneficial and win-win situation while contributing to the advancement of green buildings.

Zhang Chong'an, Chairman of Delphi, praised Mingdao as an outstanding enterprise and a leader in the aluminium processing industry, excelling in both the building and automotive aluminium sectors. He noted that Delphi, a company dedicated to innovation and excellence, shares many common views with Mingdao. Zhang expressed confidence that this strategic cooperation would bolster Delphi's development in the aluminium market for building materials, assured by the high-quality aluminium materials provided by Mingdao New Materials.

About the agreement

The signing of this strategic agreement signifies a new phase of development for Mingdao New Materials and Delphi. Mingdao Aluminum's superior aluminium materials will complement Delphi's strong market channels in the building sector, allowing both companies to leverage their respective strengths and expertise. This collaboration aims to create value that exceeds the sum of its parts, facilitating better resource sharing, market interoperability, and industrial synergy between the two parties.

The signing ceremony was attended by Meng Fanlin, President of Mingdao Aluminum, Zhang Chong'an, Chairman of Delphi, and other representatives from both organisations. Yang Gang, Director of Mingdao Aluminum's Marketing Center, and Zhang Zhiguo, General Manager of Delphi, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
