China A00 aluminium ingot prices drop on softening consumption, stocks keep growing

The prices of A00 aluminium ingots in China major consumer markets are trending low today on June 13. A00 Aluminium Ingot (North China) price ranges at RMB 13,590-13,610 per tonne with the average price standing at RMB 13,600 per tonne, down 0.22 per cent from its previous price. The price of A00 Aluminium Ingot (Northeast China) has dropped in the range of RMB 13,580-13,600 per tonne. The average price currently stands at RMB 13,590 per tonne, down 0.22 per cent from its earlier price.

The price of A00 Aluminium Ingot (East China)-Zhejiang is ranging at RMB 13,550 per tonne, down 0.37 per cent from its previous price.

A00 Aluminium Ingot (East China) - Jiangsu price ranges at RMB 13,540-13,550 per tonne. The average price is registered at RMB 13,545 per cent, down 0.29 per cent from its earlier stand.

The price of A00 Aluminium Ingot (Southwest China) has also witnessed a drop. The average price currently stands at RMB 13,585 per tonne, down 0.37 per cent from its previous price.

A00 aluminium ingot premium and discount is higher by RMB 10 per tonne, in the range of RMB 10-50 per tonne.

China Aluminum International Trading Co. (Chalco Trading) cut aluminium prices it offered in major markets today. The revised prices are as follows:

Primary aluminium ingot stocks in five major markets increased for two consecutive weeks and will continue to do so, observed SMM. Stocks in these five regions: Shanghai, Wuxi, Nanhai, Hangzhou and Gongyi- totalled 1.21 million tonnes as on June 9, up 15,000 tonnes from June 2, SMM data showed.  

Average profit at the Chinese aluminium smelters has shrunk sharply (RMB 450 per tonne) due to falling aluminium prices and rising alumina prices, SMM learned.
