According to a recent report, CANPACK is expanding its capacity by more than 1 billion cans annually in Colombia and Russia, as the aluminium cans market in those two countries shows a positive sign of growth.
Companies in both Colombia and Russia seek additional capacity for their products, driven by the renewed focus on environmental sustainability and growth in sales.

In Colombia, the Polish company will increase its annual capacity by 46 per cent from 1.3 billion cans to 1.9 billion, while that in Russia by 34 per cent from 1.9 billion cans to 2.55 billion. The new line in Russia is focused on expanding capacity for the 449cl format, which is preferred by beer producers and consumers. CANPACK in Colombia offers 269 FIT, 330 STD, 355 STD, and 473 STD formats, while in Russia offers 25cl, 33cl, 33cl fit, 449cl, and 50cl formats.
The expansions are expected to create new full-time jobs for 150 employees (54 in Colombia and 97 in Russia).
