Recently, the vibrant landscape of timepieces has experienced a colourful renaissance, with hues ranging from bold and dramatic to subtle and refined. Amidst this spectrum of colours in 2024, white has notably stood out. Emblematic of sophisticated minimalism, this monochromatic aesthetic exudes elegance and versatility, pairing seamlessly with any attire.
Bulgari's newly unveiled Aluminium White Automatic exemplifies this trend. Initially introduced in 1998, the Bulgari Aluminium collection is renowned for its unconventional yet sporty blend of an aluminium case and rubber strap. The watch is crowned by a distinctive rubber bezel emblazoned with the iconic "Bvlgari Bvlgari" signature that debuted on a Bulgari timepiece in 1977.
The Aluminium White Automatic showcases a sleek aluminium dial inspired by ancient Roman coinage, complemented by rhodium-plated indexes and hands treated with Superluminova for enhanced legibility. A striking red seconds hand adds a touch of vibrancy against the white background, accompanied by a date window at the 3 o'clock position.
With a case diameter of 40mm and water resistance of up to 100 meters, the watch is both robust and versatile. It features a white rubber strap with aluminium links and a pin buckle, offering both comfort and durability.
Beneath the titanium closed case back, the Bulgari Solo Tempo movement orchestrates the timekeeping. The self-winding B77 calibre, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), provides a 42-hour power reserve, ensuring reliability. The Aluminium White Automatic is a limited edition, with only 1,000 pieces available.
