EDITED BY : 2MINS READ

The Lotus Evija, hailed as one of the world's most potent production vehicles, is again making news as the Norfolk-based company introduces a unique version, titled Evija Fittipaldi. The fabrication of rotary gear shift dial has been constructed using recycled aluminium taken directly from Fittipaldi's Type 72.

Restricted to eight units, all of which have already been sold, the new and limited edition Evija Fittipaldi harks back to Lotus' Formula 1 era with a black and gold colour scheme inspired by the legendary Lotus Type 72 race car.

The new Fittipaldi version, part of the same 130-unit manufacturing run, commemorates 50 years since the renowned Brazilian racing car driver won in 1972. That year, Emerson Fittipaldi and Team Lotus won the F1 Drivers' and Constructors' Championships.

The two-time Indy 500 champion's autograph is hand-stitched onto the dashboard within the cabin. The pedals, air vent, surrounds, start/stop button, and the aforementioned rotary dial have additional gold embellishments.
