Belgium’s Aluminium scrap exportation during 2017-20 unfolds a multimillion $ market

The major contributor to the economy of Belgium is its industries like engineering and metal products, motor vehicle assembly, transportation equipment, scientific instruments, processed food and beverages, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, base metals, textiles, glass, petroleum, etc.

The Western European nation’s aluminium scrap export during 2017-19 remains enterprising, as the export volume recorded was 636,220 tonnes and the revenue earning stood at $560.56 million. The aluminium scrap export for 2020 has been forecasted to be at 290,137 tonnes and earning to be at $316.54 million. When the evaluated export volume and earning of 2020 gets assorted with the existing three years it stands at 926,357 tonnes and $877.10 million respectively.

In 2017, Belgium’s aluminium scrap export was marked at 132,217 tonnes and the revenue generation remained at $92.35 million, whereas in 2018, the country’s aluminium scraps export gained momentum by 65.74% and the earning also rose to $92.35 million.

The aluminium scrap export in 2019 saw a remarkable growth by 29.98%, as the export climbed to 284,857 tonnes and the earnings also surged to $265.87 million, while the export for 2020 has been analysed with growth by 1.85% only, as the export volume to reach at 290,137 tonnes, with 19.05% rise in earnings.

The major trading nations for the export of Belgium’s aluminium scrap are Albania, Austria, Bangladesh, Czech Rep., Denmark, China, Egypt, France, Hungary, Germany, India, Italy, Malaysia, etc.
