China’s domestic bauxite consumption declined 2.51 per cent in the month of November. In the first eleven months of 2017, total bauxite consumption increased 11.2 per cent on yearly basis to 88.9 million tonnes. Alumina plants in Henan Province decreased production by 10 per cent in November. Some alumina plants in Shanxi Province also declined production because of environmental protection policy. Alufer is an independent mineral exploration and development company with significant bauxite assets in the Republic of Guinea. Alufer has received all required permission from the government of Guinea for building the Bel Air bauxite mine.
