Baowu Aluminium Company collected a batch of ABS car plate orders from a local independent brand automobile leading engine manufacturing in the fall of 2023. Looking back on the cooperation between Baowu Aluminium and the automobile main engine factory, it can be said that the automobile main engine factory witnessed the rapid development of Baowu Aluminum's aluminium plate from the ground up, and Baowu Aluminium also actively participated in the entire process of developing new energy vehicles in the automobile main engine factory.
In 2020, Baowu Aluminium Company debuted the manufacturing line and equipment for preparing aluminium plates for vehicles, as well as a thorough understanding of the aluminium demand and plans for new models of the automotive main engine plant. The air cushion furnace of Baowu Aluminum's automotive plate manufacturing line was still in its infancy, as was a collaboration between the two parties.
In 2021, Baowu Aluminium actively presented the production and sales progress of automotive plates, and the two parties thoroughly discussed and shared the application technology and application possibilities of Baowu Aluminum's automobile aluminium plates. The thermal load test of Baowu aluminium air cushion furnace was successful in August of that year, and it had the manufacturing capability of vehicle aluminium plate. Baowu Aluminium instantly communicated this momentous event with its partners.
In 2021, the automobile Ofactory's technical experts will visit Baowu Aluminium Industry's production line for guidance and review, gaining an in-depth understanding of Baowu Aluminium Industry's automobile aluminium plate production capacity, and further strengthening the trust foundation for cooperation between the two sides.
In 2022, both teams collaborated, sped up, broke through the routine, and finished the ABS all-variety grade certification work in half a year, setting a new industry certification speed record. Following that, Baowu Aluminium offered hundreds of pieces of support for connecting brazing samples for new models, the creation of aluminium plate components for new models, and the support of pedestrian collision test materials.
To secure the project node, all sections of the new model were ordered from October to December 2022 to test mould materials, Baowu Aluminium's timely production and delivery, and the soft mould test was completed. The official mould test material order for the new model was issued in February 2023, and Baowu Aluminium completed the delivery on time with quality and quantity guarantees, completed the relevant trial production work, and laid a solid foundation for the two sides' subsequent cooperation. Three new models were introduced in the fourth quarter of 2023, and batch orders were formally opened. At the moment, the total order is close to 1,000 tonnes.
