Ball Corporation has appointed two senior executives to lead its beverage packaging businesses across North and Central America and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), bringing experience in commercial growth, regional management and global operations to the roles.

Carey Causey, currently Ball’s senior vice president and chief growth officer, has been appointed senior vice president and president of Beverage Packaging North and Central America, effective immediately. She succeeds Kathleen Pitre.

Scott Vail, Ball’s senior vice president and chief supply chain and operations officer, will take over as senior vice president and president of Beverage Packaging EMEA, succeeding Mandy Glew, who will retire in January 2027. Ball said the departures were not related to any disagreement with the company.

Causey brings cross-regional commercial experience

Causey joined Ball in 2014 and has held leadership positions across North and Central America, South America and EMEA. Her experience spans commercial operations, marketing, strategy and business development. She previously served as president of Beverage Packaging EMEA from 2021 to 2024 before becoming chief growth officer in 2024.

Earlier in her career, Causey held roles in sales, marketing, engineering and manufacturing at MWV, The Mosaic Company and Cargill.

Vail brings a different operational background to the EMEA business. Since joining Ball in 2021 as vice president of operations for Beverage Packaging North and Central America, he has held responsibilities including the global deployment of Ball Operational Excellence. He became senior vice president and chief supply chain and operations officer in 2025, overseeing global manufacturing, supply chain, procurement and operational excellence.

Before joining Ball, Vail served as president of Metal Container Corporation and held senior roles in engineering, maintenance and operations strategy at AB InBev.

Ball emphasises execution and customer partnerships

Ball chief executive officer Ron Lewis said Causey and Vail had demonstrated commercial and operational experience and leadership values aligned with the company’s priorities.

“I am confident they will build on the strong foundations in each region, deepen our customer partnerships and deliver results,” Lewis said. He also thanked Pitre and Glew for their contributions to the company.

Ball, a global supplier of aluminium packaging for the beverage, personal care and household products industries, reported net sales of USD 13.16 billion in 2025. The company has 16,000 employees across more than 65 manufacturing plants and facilities worldwide.
