The cans carry the ASI Responsible Aluminium Sourcing label. This shows that the aluminium comes from a certified supply chain and meets environmental and social standards. The label also provides information on the source of the material.
Tamires Silvestre, Sustainability Director at Ball South America, said, “The adoption of cans with the ASI label by Grupo Mariza demonstrates how it is possible to expand categories while strengthening commitments to traceability and sustainability across the aluminium value chain.”

The launch adds a new packaging format to the brand. It also reflects the wider use of aluminium cans in Brazil. Categories such as water, energy drinks, wine, coffee, and ready-to-drink beverages are increasingly using cans.
Aluminium cans provide sealed packaging and protect products from light and oxygen. They are also widely recycled. In Brazil, the recycling rate for aluminium beverage cans has remained above 95 per cent for more than 15 years.
