Avramar Shipping Agency, a maritime company headquartered in Piraeus, has recently declared the successful execution of an investment endeavour to procure a fleet of 12 newly developed vessels that adhere to environmentally sustainable practices.
The primary attributes of the newly designed vessels encompass their enhanced cargo transportation capacities, accompanied by diminished carbon dioxide emissions and the use of sustainable structural elements, namely aluminium and polyethylene, in their fabrication.
The total value of this acquisition amounts to around 4.2 million euros. The investment initiative was initiated in 2022 and has recently reached its culmination with the removal of 11 ageing vessels.
When comparing Avramar's new fleet to its old fleet, it is evident that the former exhibits a significant reduction of 75.2% in greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, the new ships are described as "climate-neutral ships."
