Average alumina spot price in China declines by RMB7/t; A00 aluminium ingot price grows to RMB19,030/t

On Tuesday, March 5, China's average alumina spot price declined by RMB 7 per tonne to arrive at RMB 3,335 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the prices in Bayuquan, Henan and Lianyungang have plunged by RMB 30 per tonne, RMB 15 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to arrive at RMB 3,260 per tonne, RMB 3,360 per tonne and RMB 3,265 per tonne. In Shandong and Shanxi, the alumina prices have dipped by RMB 5 per tonne to clock at RMB 3,250 per tonne and RMB 3,350 per tonne.

As per the SMM data, the A00 aluminium ingot price has gained by RMB 90 per tonne to reside at RMB 19,030 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 19,010 per tonne and RMB 19,050 per tonne. The spot contract price may be traded at a discount price of RMB 50 to RMB 10 per tonne. On the same day, the price in Chongqing surged by RMB 130 per tonne to reach RMB 19,030 per tonne, followed by a growth of RMB 90 per tonne in Hangzhou and Foshan to arrive at RMB 19,030 per tonne and RMB 19,020 per tonne. In Wuxi and Shenyang, the prices have added RMB 80 per tonne to come in at RMB 19,020 per tonne and RMB 19,010 per tonne. In Gongyi and Tianjin, the SMM aluminium ingot prices have hiked by RMB 70 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,910 per tonne and RMB 19,030 per tonne. In Linyi, the price has increased by RMB 30 per tonne to RMB 19,000 per tonne.

On the same day, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has expanded by RMB 103 per tonne to reach RMB 19,862 per tonne. As per the data, the high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have increased by RMB 100 per tonne to clock at RMB 26,500 per tonne and RMB 27,500 per tonne.

Aluminium alloys (ADC12) have gained RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,650 per tonne, with average prices between RMB 20,000 per tonne and RMB 20,200 per tonne. On the same day, the price for aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A380) increased by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 19,650 per tonne and RMB 21,100 per tonne. For (A356), the average prices may orbit between RMB 19,500 per tonne and RMB 19,800 per tonne. For (A38), the average prices may stand between RMB 21,000 per tonne and RMB 21,200 per tonne.
