According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), on December 2021 US exported 11,900 tonnes of US aluminium scrap to China, showing a month-on-month jump of 3,790 tonnes or 46.73%, from 8,110 tonnes in November. On a month-on-month scale there was a decline of 1,850 tonnes or 18.57% from 9,960 tonnes in October 2021. On a year-on-year calculation, US aluminium scrap exported to China fell sharply by 8,840 tonnes or 288.88% from 3,060 tonnes in December 2020, shows USGS.
