US aluminium crude metal and alloys exports to Mexico extended decline in September by 18%

According to the United States Geological Survey, the US aluminium crude metal and alloys exports to Mexico saw a decline of 18 per cent in September. From 8,520 tonnes in August, the export volume reportedly came down to 6,970 tonnes in the succeeding month. The United States exports in July were 9,420 tonnes, which represent the fact that the export volume in August dropped by 9.5 per cent. However, the export in July remained flat, as that in June was 9,320 tonnes, according to the USGS data. Hindalco and Vedanta cut aluminium prices by 1% after two consecutive hikes

After raising prices two times in a row, Hindalco Industries Limited reduced the prices of aluminium ingots, billets, and wire rods by 1 per cent, with effect from Saturday, January 4. From INR 145,250 per tonne, as of December 25, Hindalco decreased the aluminium ingot price by 1.03 per cent to INR 143,750 per tonne, while that of the aluminium billets and wire rods, the company reduced the prices by 0.98 per cent and 0.96 per cent respectively. Aluminium stocks at Japan ports rose 0.9% M-o-M and 7.71% Y-o-Y in November

According to a recent report from Reuters, aluminium stocks held at three major Japanese ports at the end of November were up by 0.9 per cent from 318,200 tonnes in October to 321,000 tonnes. The social inventories of primary aluminium in China usher the year 2020 with a growth of 18,000 tonnes over the week, indicating a potential end to the continued inventory downtrend since March 2019.
