Australian alumina rangebound; China slips to Yuan 2,780/mt
Platts did not assess the market on Monday, November 7, as Singapore was closed for a national holiday.
The market is "dead quiet," a European trade source said.
"We haven't been active and we haven't seen any new cargoes around," a producer source added.
European and Asian consumer sources continued to indicate buying ideas at $330-335/mt on Tuesday, with selling interest rangebound at $345-350/mt.
Sources said some market participants were eyeing the latest Nalco tender, due to close later today, for clearer direction.
The producer source said Nalco "tends to get decent prices and the tender will be a reference for spot price."
