Lotte Aluminium’s rolling facility produces aluminium foil dedicated for food packaging, pharmaceuticals, electronic batteries, automotive parts, and construction materials.
The ASI CoC Standard sets out requirements for the creation of a Chain of Custody for material that is produced and processed through the value chain into diverse downstream sectors.
On certifying Lotte Aluminium against the Chain of Custody Standard, Fiona Solomon, Chief Executive Officer at ASI, said: “We warmly congratulate Lotte Aluminium Co., Ltd. for achieving ASI Chain of Custody Certification, with their Ansan facility continuing to show the way forward by achieving the first CoC Certification in South Korea. Achievement of the CoC Certification combined with appropriate upstream sourcing enables Lotte Aluminium’s customers to leverage the company’s responsible production credentials in their consumer-facing products, including the possibility to use ASI on-product labels.”
The independent, third-party audit of the Lotte Aluminium Co., Ltd. facility was carried out by DNVGL.
