
Aluminium Stewardship Initiative announced on Friday, March 5, that it certified Chalco Ruimin Co., Ltd.’s two plants in Fuzhou, China, against Chain of Custody Standard Certification for remelting and casting, hot rolling, cold rolling, and finishing activities.

The company produces rolled aluminium materials dedicated to metal container packaging, high-end lithographic, electronics and electrical appliances, and transportation.
On receiving the ASI CoC Standard Certification, Feng Cai, Chairman of Chalco Ruimin Co., Ltd., commented: “Chalco Ruimin always focuses on providing our customers quality services, relying on the professional equipment and scientific deployment of alloy. As an important role of the Chinese aluminium industry, we have a responsibility to make efforts for the creation of a sustainable-development society. Being an Aluminium Stewardship Initiative member gives us an opportunity to share experience with other members and achieve higher sustainability standards.”

The independent, third-party audits of the Chalco Ruimin Co., Ltd. plants were carried out by DNV GL.
