Alumina spot price in China moves up by RMB6/t to RMB2,803/t; A00 aluminium ingot price hikes by RMB370/t

On Tuesday, November 29, the average alumina spot price in China increased by RMB 6 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,803 per tonne. The price in Shanxi has hiked by RMB 10 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,825 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the prices in Shandong and Henan have gone up by RMB 5 per tonne to peg at RMB 2,740 per tonne and RMB 2,885 per tonne. Guizhou and Guangxi have witnessed the same price gain of RMB 5 per tonne to record at RMB 2,750 per tonne and RMB 2,710 per tonne. Prices in Lianyungang and Bayuquan have remained restrained at RMB 2,875 per tonne and RMB 2,900 per tonne.

As per the SMM data, the A00 aluminium ingot price has surged by RMB 370 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,170 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 19,150 per tonne and RMB 19,190 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 60 to RMB 100 per tonne. Prices in Wuxi and Chongqing have increased by RMB 370 per tonne and RMB 360 per tonne, reaching RMB 19,170 per tonne and RMB 19,270 per tonne. Foshan, Shenyang and Linyi witnessed a growth of RMB 350 per tonne to stop at RMB 19,230 per tonne, RMB 19,120 per tonne and RMB 19,250 per tonne. The A00 aluminium ingot price in Huzhou and Gongyi went down by RMB 340 per tonne and RMB 300 per tonne to halt at RMB 19,170 per tonne and RMB 19,050 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy (A356) price has escalated by RMB 400 per tonne to peg at RMB 20,450 per tonne, with the average prices orbiting between RMB 20,300 per tonne and RMB 20,600 per tonne. On the same day, the price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) went up by RMB 150 per tonne to stop at RMB 19,400 per tonne and RMB 20,400 per tonne. The average price for (ADC12) is expected to stand between RMB 19,300 per tonne and RMB 19,500 per tonne. For (A380) the average may range between RMB 20,300 per tonne and RMB 20,500 per tonne.

The price of low carbon aluminium in China has escalated by RMB 350 per tonne to reach RMB 19,831 per tonne. The Australian alumina FOB price inched down by US$ 1 per tonne to reside at US$310 per tonne.
