The Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade revealed that nation’s alumina powder production has dropped down by 6% as compared to the five-month production in the last year. Iran has produced around 96, 400 tons of alumina powder during the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 – August 22).

Aluminum oxide or more commonly known as alumina is an inert, odourless, white amorphous material used in industrial ceramics. Considered as one of the most important material in the ceramics industry, it’s usage range from construction materials, as catalysts, abrasive, as well for filling materials.
For the plants and mechanical engineering, alumina ceramics are used mainly for wear and corrosion protection. The application range and the alumina powder quality are determined by the distribution of the particle size. A good measuring instrument is one which can minutely identify the differences in the particle size.
On the other hand, aluminium ingot product has surged up by 30.60% during the first five months of the year. The country’s aluminium ingot output was recorded at 222,600 tonnes for the first five month in the present year.
The Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organisation (IMIDRO) highlighted that during the previous Iranian calendar year 1399 (ended on March 20), the aluminium ingot production increased by 61 percent. In the same year, the aluminium ingot production was recorded at 446,800 tonnes.
