The new Stelvio SUV BY Alfa Romeo in a hot Quadrifoglio guise revealed itself at the LA auto show.
The Stelvio Quadrifoglio is powered by all-aluminium bi-turbo 2.9-litre V6 engine which was there in the Giulia Quadrifoglio. The engine produces 510hp and 600Nm of torque and the Stelvio will be offered only in all-wheel drive. The all-wheel-drive system is available as standard across the entire range in the US, though, Alfa Romeo hasn’t confirmed about the other markets.
The SUV comes with 8-speed automatic gearbox capable of shifting gears in 150 milliseconds when Race mode is active. The steering-column-mounted aluminium paddles can also be used for shifting gears. Stelvio Quadrifoglio will be available in four drive modes - Dynamic, Natural, running-cost-friendly Advanced Efficiency and performance-oriented Race modes. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio also gets carbon-ceramic brakes supported by Alfa Romeo’s Integrated Brake System, which the carmaker claims reduces stopping distances.

The first series of the Stelvio Quadrifoglio are expected to reach the US market sometime in mid-2017. The car is expected to compete with the likes of the Porsche Macan and Jaguar F-Pace on launch.
