AlCircle presents industry 4.0 features and digitization of aluminium sector at Future Aluminium Forum

The Future Aluminium Forum opened its door to industry delegates in Milan yesterday, May 8, at Hotel Michelangelo. The Forum intends to discuss what industry 4.0 means to the future of the aluminium industry and how it can assist in its quest for greater efficiencies.  Delegates from major aluminium companies and associations are gathering at the venue to join this debate on applications of various Industry 4.0 architectures like AI, Internet of Things, cloud computing, data analysis etc to ; hear from experts and network with solution providers and industry peers.

The Future Aluminium Forum discussions will highlight how Industry 4.0 and ‘smart manufacturing’ will revolutionise aluminium manufacturing and processing and analyse the benefits of implementing Industry 4.0 architecture in the value chain.

Speakers from the major decision makers from the aluminium value chain, associations that represent the industry as a voice of the industry, academia, R&D professionals across the aluminium value chain and the technology providers are conversing on the key concepts behind the digitalisation of aluminium manufacturing. They are also debating on the importance of cyber security, Robotics and the role of human beings in the factory of the future, autonomous equipment and the all-important process safety and control. 

Some of the major names that are attending the forum are UC Rusal, Rio Tinto, Novelis, Hydro, STAS, Mechatherm International Ltd, Hycast AS, Hatch, Fives Aluminium Division, Danieli Automation, CBA - Brazilian Aluminum Company and Constellium Technology Center. Associations representing the aluminium industry from different regions of the world include European Aluminium, CiAl, Brazilian Aluminium Association, Aluminium Association of Canada, Aluminium Valley Society and AluQuebec.
