Owing to features like carbon offset mechanism and a tiered carbon classification system spanning net-zero footprint (EternAl-ACO) to up to 4 tonnes CO₂e per tonne (AC4), EternAl-AC contributes directly to carbon reduction goals, helping customers with flexible, transparent low-carbon solutions providing clear and verified data.
This new product range also enables customers to access traceable, third-party verified greenhouse gas (GHG) offsets originating from Alba’s internal sustainability initiatives.
Commenting on the launch, Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Ali Al Baqali, said: “Alba is proud to introduce EternAl-AC, a game-changer in the low-carbon aluminium market. By embedding verified carbon offsets generated directly from our own operational improvements, we are offering our customers an unparalleled level of transparency and confidence in their sustainability journey, providing a distinct advantage in a world increasingly focused on carbon accountability. This initiative underscores our proactive commitment to reducing our environmental footprint and empowering our partners to achieve their net-zero ambitions.”
As per the report, Alba has also bagged a customer for this new product range. Spanish aluminium extruder Alueuropa is the first company to adopt the EternAl-AC product line. Welcoming this partnership, Marta Colino, Managing Director of Alueuropa, noted: “Sustainability and decarbonisation are among the top priorities for our business, and we look forward to using the new low-carbon products from Alba which will enable us to meet our targets and serve our clients better.”
Alba claims the newly launched product complements the company’s broader ESG Roadmap and extends its EternAl™ series, which was first introduced in May 2024. The original variants included EternAl-30 and EternAl-15, made with 30 per cent and 15 per cent recycled aluminium scrap, respectively. The series later expanded to include EternAl-20 and EternAl-50, containing 20 per cent and 50 per cent recycled content. These products collectively aim to reduce emissions across Alba’s value chain and promote more sustainable aluminium sourcing.
