Al Bustan Centre & Residence, the popular hotel-apartment among tourists and businessmen in the heart of Dubai, has reportedly participated in ‘Can Collection Drive’ organised by Emirates Environmental Group (EEG).

As per the rule of the campaign, the employees of the hotel apartment vowed to deposit a specific amount of aluminium cans from April 1 to June 30, 2019, in a bid to educate the community people on sustainability, instil values of recycling in them, especially the younger generation, and achieve the objective of reducing waste to landfills. This is a small move taken by them as part of the commitment to the environment.
Participants who will be able to achieve the target of depositing the required amount of cans will receive a certificate of participation and also a chance to plant a tree under their name by the end of the year.
Moussa El Hayek, Chief Operating Officer of Al Bustan Centre and Residence, said: “We applaud the initiative launched by Emirates Environmental Group and are honored to be participating in such a significant campaign beneficial to our collective future. Our participation in this campaign is one of the ways in helping Dubai achieve the goal of being a sustainable city by providing residents and expats with the highest quality of life with the lowest environmental footprint.”
“Planting trees also has significant health implications as it reduces air pollutants. We aim to achieve the set target of depositing the aluminum cans to have the opportunity to plant a tree under our name to showcase our long-term resilience,” added Moussa.
