The monthly production stood restrained M-o-M and 5 per cent lower Y-o-Y than 1.188 million tonnes, while the quarterly output edged a 4.61 per cent decline Q-o-Q than 3.511 million tonnes and a 1.67 per cent dip Y-o-Y than 3.406 million tonnes.

According to IAI data, Africa & Asia’s alumina production reflected a slowdown for a significant period in Q4 2022. Although it started with a sequential rise in October by 6.01 per cent to 1.181 million tonnes, it encountered a downfall and then restraint in the two successive months.
