A00 Aluminium ingot up across all markets on the news of China aluminium output drop in September

According to the data released State Statistics Bureau China’s primary aluminium output stands at 2.61 million tonnes in September, down 5.6% YoY. For the period from January to September, China’s primary aluminium output stands at 24.66 million tonnes, an increase of 5% compared with last year.

Prices of A00 aluminium ingot have registered a rise of RMB 130/t to stand at RMB 16,100/t today after falling for three consecutive days. A00 aluminium ingot prices across all individual markets have increased substantially. Today’s aluminium A00 Aluminum prices across the various markets in China are presented in the table below:

Keeping up with A00 aluminium ingot, SHFE 1712 aluminium, according to SMM will range within a higher range of RMB 16,100-16,350/t and challenge the 5-day moving average. In east China’s spot aluminium market, spot discounts are expected at RMB 140-100/t.

SMM statistics shows that average spot alumina price in China has registered a slight rise on October 20 to stand at RMB 3708/t. On October 20, Chalco alumina price stands at RMB 3730/tonne registering a rise of RMB 20/t. Spot alumina prices remain almost flat in all other individual markets in China. After growing at a faster rate alumina prices are reaching a plateau in mid-October.

Prebaked anode prices remain unchanged in all major China markets.
