A00 aluminium ingot price stands below RMB17000/t; Aluminium fluoride price shrinks by RMB150/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has continued to be on a downturn on Tuesday, March 2, to come below RMB 17,000 per tonne, found the Shanghai Metals Market. According to SMM data, the price has shrunk by RMB 150 per tonne to come in at RMB 16,900 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 16,880 per tonne and RMB 16,920 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 50-10 per tonne, up by RMB 20 per tonne from the previous day.

In Gongyi and Foshan, primary aluminium price has decreased by RMB 140 per tonne to RMB 16,790 per tonne and RMB 16,910 per tonne, respectively, while the price in Wuxi and Shenyang is down by RMB 135 per tonne to come in at RMB 16,915 per tonne and RMB 16,870 per tonne. In Chongqing and Hangzhou, A00 aluminium ingot price has dwindled by RMB 130 per tonne and RMB 125 per tonne to stand at RMB 16,915 per tonne and RMB 16,935 per tonne, and that in Tianjin and Linyi has declined by RMB 110 per tonne and RMB 100 per tonne to clock at RMB 16,900 per tonne.

Among the input costs, prebaked anode price in Central China has climbed by RMB 180 per tonne to stand at RMB 3,880 per tonne, learned SMM. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 3,680 per tonne and RMB 4,080 per tonne.

Aluminium fluoride price, on the other hand, has recorded a plunge of RMB 150 per tonne to peg at RMB 8,750 per tonne, as of Tuesday, March 2. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 8,200 per tonne and RMB 9,300 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has also edged lower by RMB 150 per tonne to stand at RMB 17,600 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 17,550 per tonne and RMB 17,650 per tonne, according to SMM.
