A00 aluminium ingot price in China has further plunged over the weekend ended April 11, 2022, by RMB 570 per tonne to stand at RMB 21,230 per tonne, found the Shanghai Metals Market. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 21,210 per tonne and RMB 21,250 per tonne, with a spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 70-30 per tonne.
In Wuxi, A00 aluminium ingot price has nosedived by RMB 580 per tonne to come in at RMB 21,220 per tonne, followed by the decrease of RMB 570 per tonne in Foshan, Hangzhou and Linyi to RMB 21,260 per tonne, RMB 21,305 per tonne and RMB 21,350 per tonne, respectively. In Shenyang and Tianjin, primary aluminium ingot price has shrunk by RMB 520 per tonne to RMB 21,230 per tonne and RMB 21,330 per tonne, while the price in Gongyi has slumped by RMB 530 per tonne to RMB 21,210 per tonne.
Among primary aluminium alloys prices, aluminium alloy (A356) price has plummeted by RMB 600 per tonne to come in at RMB 22,700 per tonne. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 22,600 per tonne and RMB 22,800 per tonne.
Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have declined by RMB 200 per tonne to settle at RMB 21,800 per tonne and RMB 22,800 per tonne, respectively.
But on the other hand, the average alumina spot price in China has opened the week on Monday, April 11, by 3 per tonne to RMB 2,992 per tonne. While the alumina price in most of the provinces has remained restrained today, it has increased in Henan by RMB 10 per tonne to RMB 3,025 per tonne.
However, the Australian alumina FOB price has dropped by US$15 per tonne to stand at US$395 per tonne, learned SMM.
Among other primary aluminium input costs, caustic soda (32% concentration) price in Shandong has built up by RMB 130 per tonne to come in at RMB 1,260 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 1,200 per tonne and RMB 1,320 per tonne.
