
A00 aluminium ingot price in China has extended its growth on Thursday, November 19, to stand close to RMB 16,000 per tonne, according to the Shanghai Metals Market. Data shows the price has jumped by RMB 170 per tonne and standing at RMB 15,920 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 15,900-15,940 per tonne. The spot contract is expected to trade at RMB 140-180 per tonne.

In Gongyi and Foshan, the primary aluminium ingot price has also hiked by RMB 170 per tonne to come in at RMB 15,780 per tonne and RMB 15,920 per tonne, respectively. Chongqing has seen the highest growth of RMB 185 per tonne to RMB 15,855 per tonne, while that in Shenyang and Wuxi has increased by RMB 155 per tonne and RMB 150 per tonne to come in at RMB 15,865 per tonne and RMB 15,910 per tonne, respectively. In Tianjin and Linyi, A00 aluminium ingot price has grown by RMB 120 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne to peg at RMB 15,850 per tonne, found SMM.
The prices of aluminium alloys in China have surged as well on November 18. Aluminium alloy (A356) price has increased by RMB 200 per tonne to stand at RMB 16,600 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 16,550 per tonne and RMB 16,650 per tonne.
The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have climbed by RMB 150 to hover at RMB 15,650 per tonne and RMB 16,550 per tonne, respectively.
Coming to the aluminium input costs, none have recorded any changes except the price of aluminium powder, which has grown by RMB 0.10 per kg to stand at RMB 19.45 per kg.
