A00 aluminium ingot price in China has dipped by RMB 20 per tonne on Tuesday, August 17, to come in at RMB 20,230 per tonne, following a hike of RMB 200 per tonne on the previous day, found the Shanghai Metals Market. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 20,210 per tonne and RMB 20,250 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 50-10 per tonne.
However, the drop in primary aluminium ingot price has not touched upon all the major Chinese cities such as Tianjin, Linyi, Shenyang, Chongqing and Hangzhou. In Tianjin and Linyi, the price has climbed by RMB 70 per tonne and RMB 40 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,250 per tonne and RMB 20,270 per tonne, respectively. In Shenyang and Chongqing, primary aluminium ingot price has grown by RMB 30 per tonne and RMB 15 per tonne, while the price in Hangzhou has remained restrained.
In Foshan, A00 aluminium ingot price has decreased by RMB 20 per tonne to RMB 20,350 per tonne, while the price in Gongyi and Wuxi has inched down by RMB 10 per tonne to peg at RMB 20,110 per tonne and RMB 20,240 per tonne, respectively.
Among primary aluminium input costs, caustic soda (32% concentration) Shandong price has decreased by RMB 5 per tonne to stand at RMB 645 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 600-690 per tonne.
Aluminium powder price has dipped by RMB 0.05 per kg to come in at RMB 23.75 per kg, with average prices likely to range between RMB 23.7-23.8 per kg.
