
According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the A00 aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 110 per tonne to RMB 14,520 per tonne on Wednesday, July 22, following a decline from RMB 14,480 per tonne to RMB 14,410 per tonne on the previous day. Today, the average prices are expected to range between RMB 14,500 per tonne and RMB 14,540 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 130-170 per tonne, down by RMB 50 per tonne from July 21.

Foshan has seen the highest growth of RMB 140 per tonne in A00 aluminium ingot price today to stand at RMB 14,460 per tonne, followed by the hike of RMB 120 per tonne in Tianjin to stand at RMB 14,520 per tonne. Wuxi, Hangzhou, and Chongqing have seen an increase of RMB 110 per tonne to RMB 14,520 per tonne, RMB 14,540 per tonne, and RMB 14,390 per tonne, respectively, while in Linyi and Gongyi, the primary aluminium ingot price has surged by RMB 100 per tonne and RMB 95 per tonne to RMB 14,570 per tonne and RMB 14,465 per tonne. In Shenyang, the aluminium ingot price has grown by RMB 75 per tonne to RMB 14,435 per tonne.
As far as the input costs are concerned, only the price of Australian alumina FOB and aluminium powder have recorded changes. While the Australian alumina FOB price has slipped by US$ 3 per tonne to come in at US$ 281 per tonne on July 22, the price of aluminium powder has recorded an increase of RMB 0.10 per kg to stand at RMB 18.05 per kg.
Backed on the rise in A00 aluminium ingot price, the price of aluminium alloy (A356) has grown as well by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 15,100 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 15,050 and RMB 15,150 per tonne.
The aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) prices have, however, remained restrained at RMB 13,950 per tonne and RMB 14,850 per tonne, respectively.
