A00 aluminium ingot price drops for the second day in a row to RMB15,080/t; Australian alumina FOB price dips by $2/t

According to the Shanghai Metals Market, A00 aluminium ingot price in China has extended its downfall on November 5, albeit lower than the previous day, to stand at RMB 15,080 per tonne. The price today has fallen by RMB 10 per tonne compared with the decline of RMB 60 per tonne on November 4. The average A00 aluminium ingot price today is expected to range between RMB 15,060 per tonne and RMB 15,100 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 80-120 per tonne, down by RMB 60 per tonne from the day earlier.

Except in Foshan, Linyi, and Tianjin, A00 aluminium ingot price has declined across all major cities in China. In Shenyang, the price has dwindled by RMB 40 per tonne to stand at RMB 15,070 per tonne, while that in Hangzhou and Chongqing has plunged by RMB 20 per tonne to RMB 15,060 per tonne and RMB 15,000 per tonne, respectively. In Wuxi and Gongyi, A00 aluminium ingot price has dropped by RMB 10 per tonne to come in at RMB 14,970 per tonne and RMB 15,070 per tonne.

In Linyi and Foshan, primary aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 15 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to stand at RMB 15,070 per tonne and RMB 14,970 per tonne. In Tianjin, the price has, however, remained restrained at RMB 15,055 per tonne.

The prices of aluminium alloys have recorded no change today, according to SMM. Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price has remained restrained at RMB 15,350 per tonne, and so the prices of aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A380) at RMB 15,700 per tonne and RMB 16,250 per tonne, respectively.

Coming to the aluminium input costs, Australian alumina FOB price has dipped by US$ 2 per tonne to come in at US$ 271 per tonne, as of November 5, learned SMM.
