A00 aluminium ingot price drops by RMB50/t after three days of hike in a row; Aluminium alloys(ADC12) price shrinks to RMB20,300/t

After the three consecutive days of hike from RMB 18,340 per tonne to RMB 19,170 per tonne, A00 aluminium ingot price in China has recorded a drop of RMB 50 per tonne on Wednesday, November 24, to come in at RMB 19,120 per tonne. According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the average prices are estimated to range between RMB 19,100 per tonne and RMB 19,140 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 70-30 per tonne.

In Tianjin and Shenyang, A00 aluminium ingot price has plunged by RMB 160 per tonne and RMB 150 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,010 per tonne and RMB 19,000 per tonne, respectively. In Wuxi, the primary aluminium price has decreased by RMB 90 per tonne to RMB 19,080 per tonne, while the price in Hangzhou and Linyi has dwindled by RMB 80 per tonne to RMB 19,100 per tonne and RMB 19,170 per tonne. In Gongyi and Chongqing, A00 aluminium ingot price has declined by RMB 60 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,060 per tonne and RMB 19,110 per tonne, respectively.

Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have registered a downfall of RMB 100 per tonne to close at RMB 20,300 per tonne and RMB 21,500 per tonne, as of November 24. While the average prices of the former are estimated to range between RMB 20,200-20,400 per tonne, the average prices of the latter are likely to hover around RMB 21,400-21,600 per tonne, found SMM.

But aluminium alloy (A356) price has shown no change today from the previous price of RMB 21,650 per tonne, according to SMM. Its average prices are expected to remain between RMB 21,600 per tonne and RMB 21,700 per tonne.

Among primary aluminium input costs, China’s imported alumina price has slipped by US$13 per tonne to stand at US$385 per tonne, learned SMM. The domestic average spot price has remained restrained at RMB 3,691 per tonne on November 24.

Caustic soda (32% concentration) price in Henan and Shandong has declined by RMB 150 per tonne and RMB 55 per tonne to come in at RMB 3,950 per tonne and RMB 850 per tonne, respectively. Aluminium powder price has inched down by only RMB 0.10 per kg to close at RMB 21.55 per kg, learned SMM.
