LME aluminium opened at $2,689 per tonne on Tuesday and closed at $2,672.5 per tonne, a drop of $22.5 per tonne or 0.83 percent.
LME aluminium cash (bid) price moved up US$37 per tonne or by 1.39 percent to total at US$2,690 per tonne, as of Tuesday, November 23. LME aluminium official settlement price also grew by US$37.5 per tonne or by 1.41 percent to settle at US$2,691 per tonne. 3-month bid price and 3-month official settlement price closed at US$2,684.50 per tonne and US$2,685 per tonne, respectively. December 22 bid price and December 22 offer price settled at US$2,647 per tonne and US$2,652 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock totalled at 935750 tonnes. Live warrants and cancelled warrants for the same day were recorded at 573950 tonnes and 361800 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price closed at US$2,678.50 per tonne, as of November 23.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
The benchmark aluminium price for SHFE levelled down to close at US$2,995 per tonne, as of Wednesday, November 24
The most-traded SHFE 2201 aluminium closed down RMB 15 per tonne to RMB 19135 per tonne, with open interest down 5387 lots to 214750 lots.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2201 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,135 per tonne, with the highest and lowest prices at RMB 19,295 per tonne and RMB 19,050 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,095 per tonne, down RMB 40 per tonne or 0.21 percent.
