A00 aluminium ingot price continues to decline; Pre-baked anode price in Central China records sweeping growth

The A00 aluminium ingot price continues to decline across China. The A00 aluminium ingot price dropped RMB 30 per tonne to RMB 14690 per tonne on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, from RMB 14720 per tonne on September, 3, 2018. The prices are expected to range between RMB 14670 per tonne and RMB 14710 per tonne, with spot discounts to settle at RMB 50 to RMB 10 per tonne.

A00 aluminium ingot price in China’s major markets have also registered a drop today. In the east, the price decreased RMB 25 per tonne to stand at RMB 14700 per tonne on September 4, compared to RMB 14725 per tonne on September 3. In the south and north, the price dropped RMB 50 per tonne and RMB 30 per tonne to stand at RMB 14790 per tonne and RMB 14700 per tonne, respectively.

As far as the raw material prices are concerned, alumina spot price in China increased RMB 8 per tonne to RMB 3309 per tonne on Tuesday, 04 September 2018, Shanghai Metals Market. The average spot alumina price in east and south China market remains unchanged. In the North China Market, the average spot alumina price increased from RMB 3320 per tonne on September 3 to stand at RMB 3340 per tonne.

The pre-baked anode spot price in Central China jumped from RMB 3300 per tonne on September 3, to RMB 3520 per tonne on September 4. The prices of Aluminum Fluoride, Cryolite and Aluminium powder remain unchanged today.
