The designer of cutting-edge glazing solutions for some of the most iconic buildings in the world, Reynaers Aluminum, the Romanian firm has reported a 12% rise in turnover amid the Covid-19 pandemic situation in 2020.
The aluminium product making company is the European leader in the construction sector for providing aluminium solutions. As per the company’s statement, the increase in turnover is primarily due to the domestic real estate projects where Reynaers products are heavily consumed.
However, among the many projects, a few which were vital towards the growth of Reynaers domestic business are Sema Parc, Ţiriac Tower, One Mircea Eliade, Neo Floreasca Lake, as well as many other projects with high complexity.
Daniel Popa, Country Manager Reynaers Aluminum Romania, said: "And for our business, last year was a challenge from all points of view. It was a year of constant change and adaptation that we completed but growing, both in terms of business and in terms of expanding our portfolio - both by launching new products and by taking over the distribution of Forster for steel solutions, products that we already offer in our projects in Romania.”
As per the company’s statement: “Currently, most of the carpentry solutions are delivered to the residential segment projects, which count approx. 40%. The office segment ranks second, with 30% of the company's total projects, while the retail orders and warehouses have the fewest orders, respectively 20% and 10% of the total.”
Products like doors and windows, sliding doors, and curtain walls were the most used in the projects of the last year, as said by Reynaers representatives.
While referring to the current year forecast, the company estimates a growth rate similar to that of 2020 and a sustained growth in the residential segment. In this regard, Reynaers Aluminum Romania has already started deliveries for Crown Towers, one of the newest projects with mixed function - office and residential, in Bucharest, while at the same time, this is the first project in Romania that will integrate the new Masterpatio system for sliding doors.
In addition, in the initial part of 2021, the company announced the opening of three new showrooms in Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, and Timisoara, as part of the development strategy on the local market. All three spaces were designed to serve architectural firms, developers, investors, general contractors, manufacturers, and last but not least the final beneficiaries. Accordingly, the showrooms incorporate both the technical and design aspects of the Reynaers brand.
