The Covid-19 pandemic has thoroughly affected the global manufacturing sector, and it has also hit hard at the Italian export of aluminium bar rods and profiles in 2020. The nation's export of the above said aluminium product has been recorded with a de-growth of 35.45% on Y-o-Y, as the export dropped from 303,991 tonnes to 196,221 tonnes, whereas, the revenue earnings also plunged by 52.61%. In 2019, Italy generated $1.31 billion from the export, while in 2020 it fell to $623.88 million.

The export to the listed five countries generated revenue of $328.68 million, which counts 52.68% of the total revenue of $623.88 million.
The manufacturing nation, Germany leads the race in the top five nations list, with 62,442 tonnes and contributed $167.05 million, while standing at number two, France grabbed 16,198 tonnes of aluminium bar rods and profiles export from Italy and contributed $49.72 million.
Belgium, the USA and Austria are the remaining three in the list of the top five. Belgium absorbed 11,963 tonnes of aluminium bar rods and profiles from Italian export and delivered $29.38 million.
The global leader in import and export, the USA secured 11,549 tonnes of aluminium bar rods and profiles from Italy in 2020 and contributed $55.15 million. Austria, the fifth nation on the list for the export from Italy registered with 10,075 tonnes and expended $27.38 million on the aluminium product.
