AL Circle: How is your company integrating intelligent manufacturing, automation, or Industry 4.0 into operations? 

Nanping Aluminium: Nanping Aluminium is driving intelligent manufacturing and digital transformation through its “National-Level 5G Smart Factory” and industrial internet platform, earning recognition as a Fujian Provincial Intelligent Manufacturing Pilot Demonstration Enterprise. By implementing smart upgrades, we enhance production efficiency and product precision to support large-scale manufacturing of high-end aluminium alloys and lightweight automotive components, while advancing digitalised supply chain management to strengthen collaboration efficiency across the industrial chain.

AL Circle: How do you foresee the Chinese aluminium industry to grow in 2025 and beyond? 

Nanping Aluminium: We anticipate China’s aluminium industry will accelerate its development toward green and low-carbon initiatives, high-end intelligent manufacturing, and integrated industrial chain collaboration: 

Green transformation will emerge as a core trend, with expanded recycled aluminium applications and improved low-carbon standard systems driving industry upgrading. 

Demand for domestic alternatives to high-end aluminium alloys (particularly for 5G communications and new energy equipment) will continue growing. 

Deep integration of intelligent manufacturing and digital transformation will enhance the overall competitiveness of the industrial chain.

AL Circle: How do you anticipate the ongoing volatility in aluminium prices impacting your business operations, particularly in terms of production costs, supply chain stability, and long-term planning? 

Nanping Aluminium: Nanping Aluminium, with its fully integrated production chain covering aluminium smelting, processing and deep-processing, mitigates the impact of raw material price fluctuations on production costs through internal coordination. Simultaneously, we enhance risk resilience by increasing product added value (such as high-end aluminium alloys) through technological innovation.

In our long-term planning, we will continue optimising the industrial chain structure and increasing the proportion of green, low-carbon and high-value-added products to better respond to market volatility.
