The industry currently produces approximately 12 million metric tons of castings across various grades, adhering to international standards. With around 4,500 foundry units, the sector comprises 85% small-scale, 10% medium-scale, and 5% large-scale enterprises. The industry generates an annual turnover of approximately USD 20 billion, with exports contributing around USD 3.54 billion. By 2025, India’s casting industry is projected to reach USD 25 billion.
