Silicon Carbon Alloy

A manufacturer from China is looking for buyers of silicon carbon alloy, available in Si68C18, Si65C15 and Si60C20 grades for steel plants, iron casting and other metallurgical applications.

Si68C18 contains Si 68% min, C 18% min, Al 3% max, S 0.05% max and P 0.05% max. Si65C15 contains Si 65% min, C 15% min, Al 3% max, S 0.1% max and P 0.1% max. Si60C20 contains Si 60% min, C 20% min, Al 4% max, S 0.1% max and P 0.1% max.

The product is available in 0-5 mm, 3-10 mm, 10-50 mm and 5-100 mm sizes, with customization available according to buyer requirements.

Silicon carbon alloy can be used as an alloying agent to replace ferro silicon in electric furnace applications. It can also serve as an alternative to ferro silicon and recarburizer in the iron casting industry where carbon addition and alloying are required.
