Silicon Manganese

A manufacturer from China is looking for buyers of silicon manganese, available in 65/17 and 60/14 grades for steelmaking and other metallurgical applications.

Grade 65/17 contains Mn 65%, Si 17%, C 2.0%, P 0.25% and S 0.04%, while Grade 60/14 contains Mn 60%, Si 14%, C 2.5%, P 0.3% and S 0.05%. The product is available in 10-50 mm, 10-60 mm and 10-70 mm sizes.

Silicon manganese is mainly used in steel production as a composite deoxidizer and alloying agent. It can also serve as a raw material for producing medium and low-carbon ferromanganese and may be used in low-carbon iron smelting and other metal-smelting applications, depending on the required composition.
